About ELI

Hi, I'm Eli.

Coach. Athlete. Pole dancer. Lifelong student of movement.

I've been in the fitness world for over 10 years — but my relationship with training hasn't always looked the way it does today.

I came from bodybuilding. And I loved it. I loved the discipline, the structure, the feeling of showing up consistently and getting stronger. Fitness has always been part of who I am — I could eat, sleep and breathe movement all day.

But back then, everything revolved around one thing: how my body looked. The shape. The glute size, the flat stomach... I was fit. I was strong. And I still didn't feel at home in my body.

Then I found pole dancing.

At first I didn't even want people to know I was doing it. But something was happening that I couldn't ignore. For the first time in my training life, I wasn't trying to change my body. I was discovering what it could do.

Every move I couldn't do — then could. Every fall I got back up from. Every combo that finally clicked. Each one was evidence that my body was capable, strong and worth trusting.

Pole didn't give me a better body. It gave me a better relationship with the one I already had.

Later came calisthenics — and with it, a deeper understanding of strength, body awareness and the incredible things that happen when you train with intention rather than ego.

Today my body isn't something I'm trying to fix. It's something I rely on. And that shift — from training for aesthetics to training for capability — is the foundation of everything I do as a coach.

What I believe

I believe that the most powerful thing training can give you isn't a smaller waist or bigger glutes.

It's the feeling of complete trust in your own body.

The confidence that comes from knowing what you're capable of.

The pride of a body that performs — not just one that looks good. Strength changed the way I see myself.

Now I help others build a body that can support the life they're intentionally creating.

When I'm not coaching

You'll find me on the pole working on my own skills — currently deep in a mastery phase, revisiting the fundamentals and falling in love with movement all over again.

I also spend time in the gym, exploring new ways to build strength that transfers, and incorporating yoga into my own practice for stretching, grounding and the kind of body awareness that no amount of lifting alone can give you.

Off the mat — I'm an avid hockey fan (GO HABS GO!! 🏒), and an unapologetic book nerd. If I'm not training I'm probably reading. Both keep me sharp, both keep me sane. And yes — I occasionally convince my sisters to film another Pole Playbook tutorial.
